Description
Agreement between Elisha and Jonathan Mulford [Jr.] for house, property, and agricultural items, in East Hampton Township, N.Y.; December 6, 1804. Agreement includes arrangement that Elisha purchase a farm "to his liking" within 3 months, whereby Jonathan would then purchase Elisha's home lot & buildings, the Hunting Lot, and the Mill Plain Close; payment to include 1100 pounds, 11 cart loads of manure, fodder (animal feed), 2 hogsheads (casks, liquid unspecified), 1/4 of the smokehouse on Hunting Miller's Lot, 1/3 of a winnowing mill (grain grinder); Elisha to retain the winter grain on the ground, as well as the two cranes in the chimney to be left in the houses. Typewritten note on back paper: "The Mulford House, next to Home Sweet Home his in the barn a beam the date 1721 which is probably the date it was built."
