This image shows General Norman T. Kirk, Surgeon General during World War 2, with his wife Anne on the left. The couple on the right are Perry Duryea and his wife. According to a note on the back of the image, this photo was taken at the dedication of a flag pole to General Kirk. This photograph was either taken or collected by Amagansett historian and librarian Carleton Kelsey.
