Letter from George S. Phillips, postmaster of Smithtown Township, N.Y. [on behalf of father Mills Phillips], to Colonel Jeremiah Moore, postmaster of Sterling [Southold Township, N.Y.], notifying him of an arriving shipment of article; July 23, 1816. Phillips notifies Moore of the shipment of 15 [wool] bundle rolls due to arrive in Sterling for various individuals, delivered via the sloop "Flag of Truce," commanded by Captain Samuel Hartt; names listed are Abraham Mulford, Jeremiah Mulford, Samuel Fithian, Thomas Conklin, Henry Booth, Samuel Terry, Catharine Booth, Jeremiah Brown [of Rocky Point, N.Y.], and Jeremiah Moore, all [presumably] of Southold and East Hampton Townships, N.Y.
