This image shows the property of the Halsey family after the hurricance of 1938. This photo was taken in Amagansett, and large piles of lumber appear to have been scattered around by the storm. This photo was contained in an envelope with identifying information written on it. This photograph was either taken or collected by Amagansett historian and librarian Carleton Kelsey.
