Typed on the back of this photograph is a label: "Brailing a Set of Fish into the Hole of the Wilbert Edwards, 1952." The Wilbert Edwards probably operated for Promised Land Fish Factory, which was owned in the 1950s by the Edwards family, although it may have been out of Greenport and working for the fish factory. Sterling Historical Society lent these images on the bunker fishing industry and Promised Land to the Long Island Collection for digitization.
