Gustav Buek owned Home Sweet Home and lived there for many years, taking great pleasure in the connection to Payne. Buek was a personal friend of Thomas Moran, and a well-known lithographer and lithograph publisher. This image of Army Officers shows Regimental Officers, an Engineer (Corps of Engineers), and a Cadet (presumably a West Point Cadet). The image is dated 1821-1832 presumably a depiction of historical uniforms since te copyright indicates the image was created in 1885, and it was held by the Quartermaster General of the United States Army, Brigadier General S. B. Holabird.
