A date is estimated based on references to the song as "new music" in Belle Assemblée: Or, Court and Fashionable Magazine; Containing Interesting and Original Literature, and Records of the Beau-monde, Volume 3, page 177, which was accessed via Google Books. It's not clear what edition or printing this would be.
