This image shows people gathered on the village green with tents, umbrellas, and tables as part of one of the Ladies' Village Improvement Society's fairs. The message on the back is written by a Mary F. MacDougall and it's adressed to "Dear Friend" without any name of address provided for the recipient. The first LVIS Fair was held in 1896. The dress and vehicles shown in the image suggest the postcard was made before 1930, so those dates are used to estimate the image.
