Description

Land indenture for a parcel of land and meadow in Washburn's Neck, Hempstead. Sold by Solomon Seaman of Hempstead to William Willis of Oyster Bay. Washburn's Neck was an early name for Freeport. Dated January 24th, 1701. A later inscription reads, "In Hempstead," likely referring to the Hempstead Town Records. No volume or page number is indicated.
