Description
While this account book is identified as the third volume authored by Thomas S. Strong, The only Thomas S. Strong who could have written the prior two account books credited to his name, which appear in similar handwriting, died in 1840. This account book has a very different handwriting in it, and logically was kept by another family member. While there were later individuals who were named Thomas S. Strong, it appears Thomas S. Strong IV would not have been born until 1834, so it's most likely this account book was kept as a continuation of the business and farm transactions being recorded by Thomas S. Strong III after his death, perhaps by a widow or family member overseeing his affairs. Because of this, Strong is listed as a contributor, rather than a creator.
