Manuscript copy of the minutes of the various biennial and special town meetings for elections and referendums, East Hampton Township, N.Y., April 2, 1901 through December 4, 1945. The first section of the book is handwritten. Eventually, typed ballots accompany handwritten minutes, and later minutes are also typed by 1945. The biennial town meetings included the election of town officers. Special town meeting minutes covered referendum voting. Also included in this volume are Town Board of Canvassers minutes, annual meetings of the Maid Stone Fire District, annual meetings of the Police District, and certificates of canvass by the Election Inspectors.
