Description
A print of "Rosporden" by Henry M. Rosenberg, copyrighted 1885. This print was part of a collection that came out of Christian Klackner's Gallery. The print bears a number A8002. It's not clear if that's the print number or copy number, or an internal organization number used by Klackner's Gallery. This image depicts a woman and child outside of what may be a stone church. The woman is knitting while the child sits and gazes at the viewer. Rosporden is a town in France, and the piece's title likely refers to that location. This image came from the gallery of Christian Klackner, who also printed reproductions of popular art work of his day. Thomas Moran was one of the artists Klackner worked with to reproduce and sell prints.
