This 9 cm x 15 cm book is hand-bound, with several torn pages. It contains notes on sermons and scripture, including readings from the book of Isaiah. While there are no clear dates associated with the book, the author, Reverend Nathaniel Huntting, lived from 1675-1753, so his lifespan is used to estimate a date.
Note
Reverend Nathaniel Huntting was the pastor of the East Hampton Church, from 1696 until 1746, serving as the second pastor for the early settlers of East Hampton (N.Y.). Prior to arriving in East Hampton, he studied at Harvard College where his professors included Cotton Mather.
