Other items in this folder were all taken by members of the Lawrence family, it is possible the 1915 photos were also taken by the Lawrence Family.

Long Island Collection

Note

General Woodhull was a leader in the New York Militia and the New York Provincial Congress. He was the brother-in-law of Declaration of Independence signer William Floyd. Woodhull died of wounds from an incident surrounding the Battle of Long Island where he allegedly was beaten because he refused to say "God Save the King" making him a martyr for the Revolutionary cause.
