Description

This is a land indenture for a parcel of land on Mulberry Island in Warwick County between Robert Hubbard and John Hansford. The document also includes an inventory of the estate of Elizabeth Whitaker, which contains the names of several enslaved individuals. Warwick County was one of the eight original shires created by the British Colony of Virginia, in what is now the city of Newport News.
