Description

Contract between James Harlow and Stephen and Nathan Howell confirming the sale of 106 acres of land to Harlow. The parcel is described as being situated in Sag Harbor in an area called Hog Neck, however Hog Neck is now the village of North Haven. Included in the sale is a 1/8 share of the salt works for $1,100. The land is named "Sullen Neck" and is described as adjoining Great Pond and land belonging to Charles W. Payne, Stephen Mitchell, Caleb Duvall, and Thomas Hamilton. The document was witnessed by David F. Halsey and Samuel L'Hommedieu.
