Deed for 2-1/2 acres of land at Indian Wells, located in East Hampton, N.Y., June 2, 1709. While the name is spelled Isaak Barnes in this document, it was normally spelled Isaac elsewhere, and since Barnes clearly could only initial or make his mark but didn't sign this page, it is unlikely he would have spelled his name Isaak. Most other documents from this time also spell the name Barns, and thus the spelling is changed for uniformity.
