This photograph taken circa 1886 shows the homestead of General Nathaniel Woodhull (1722-1776), which is located in present day Mastic Beach.
Note written on back reads: "picture] taken circa October 1886; Mrs. Jos. B. Lawrence, Moriches P.O., November 20, 1902; returned to Mrs. L by F. Penny of Center Moriches with an enlarged picture taken now in hand said to be very well done, Mastic, December 29, 1902; this enlarged photo is hanging in the Mastic Homestead Library, 1906."
