School portrait, taken in East Hampton, N.Y. Donated with other school pictures of the same time period, included one dated 1921. Most of the children in this photo were born around 1910. Probably an early elementary school class, possibly first grade in 1916 or 1917, based on the birthdates and appearances of the children in the photograph. "Top Row: All unknown; Middle Row: 1.) Angie Catalano, 2.) Elizabeth Baker (m. Gene Lester), 3.-7. All unknown, 8. Mott (m. 1st Squires m. 2nd Eberkent), 9.-10. Unknown, 11. Joe Passamonte, 12. (Unknown) Easer, 13.-14. Unknown. Note

The numbering does not entirely match the number of students in each row, as there are 16 children in the middle row and 19 children in the front row, with only 14 children numbered in each row. There are Maurice Mott was also known as Charles Maurice Mott, he was born Aug. 1911. The unknown Mott who allegedly married a Squires and an Eberkent or Eberheart (Middle Row, #8) was the wife of Charles Squires and the daughter of George Mott. That daughter would have been Eunice Mott, based on her son's oral history. Based on newspaper coverage, Ethel Spivak and Mary Emma Lester may be the children with those last names in this image.
