[on behalf of the Proprietors of Montauk, N.Y.], to the Montauk Indians, for the lands previously purchased at Montauk; also, an additional 14 pounds [current money] from Abraham Gardiner, on behalf said Proprietors, for the exchange of the field fence; May 28, 1773.
