This image shows Janet Norton Lee Bouvier (later Auchincloss, as she is identified on the reverse of the image, however she did not marry Hugh D. Auchincloss until 1942 and would have been married to John V. Bouvier III in 1937). Bouvier appears in riding attire consisting of tall boots, breeches, and a jacket. She was known for her skill and enthusiasm as an equestrian. Bouvier was the mother of Lee Radziwill and Jacqueline Lee Bouvier Kennedy Onassis (First Lady). This may have been what is now the Hampton Classic Horse Show, based on the August date.
