This photograph shows steamship SS Larchmont. This ship is also referred to as the Titanic of New England. She sank on February 12, 1907 during a cruise from Providence, Rhode Island to New York City when she struck a incoming schooner, the Harry Knowlton, around 11:30 p.m. on February 11th. 158 perished in the accident.
