Description

This is the Thirteenth Annual Stony Brook Music Festival Program, August 3, 1968. This program highlights the performers Glenn Osser, Joy Harnell, and Buddy Weed's tribute to Whiteman (who had died just a year before) and Gershwin. called the “King of Jazz” for popularizing a musical style that helped to introduce jazz to mainstream audiences during the 1920s and 1930s.
