This image shows several women outside the first Maidstone Clubhouse in 1885 having a putting match or a game of croquet. This reproduction was made from its original which also resides in the Long Island Collection at the East Hampton Library and this copy was collected sometime from 1970 to 1982 as part of the East Hampton’s Heritage Photo Collection.
