Account book of Robert Townsend, merchant of Oyster Bay and New York. Daily accounts encompass May 12, 1772 through June 25, 1772; ledger accounts following encompass same through January 15, 1773. Townsend was a Revolutionary War spy for the Americans. This account book was lent to the Long Island Collection for digitization by Raynham Hall Museum. The original is retained by Raynham Hall, and the scans are part of the Robert Townsend Account Books Project.
