Caption on reverse reads: This building known as the "Eel Pot," was the original Hook School House. It stood directly behind the Methodist Church, and when no longer used as a school, was taken over by the church. On occasion, it was also used as a meeting place for other organizations about the village. It was eventually sold for residential use and moved away. Copy by C. Frank Dayton.
