Receipt for the payment of 40 shillings, annual payment to the Montauk Indians by the Trustees of the Freeholders and Commonalty of East Hampton, N.Y., on behalf of the Proprietors of Montauk, N.Y., in accordance with the agreement dated March 3, 1702/3; additionally, 15 shillings to be paid by said Trustees to Thomas Talmage for tending to the cattle going on Montauk for the season; April 8, 1742; April 14, 1744.
