Sale of parcel of swamp, lying in the Great Swamp [Division], at the northerly end of Hook Pond, in East Hampton Township, N.Y., by Abraham Gardiner, gentleman, to Nathaniel Huntting, clerk; February 27, 1748/9. 1 acre and 17 1/2 poles parcel, sold for 50 shillings, bounded on the north by swamp formerly owned by Richard Shaw, on the south by swamp formerly of Joshua Garlick and now in possession of Samuel Dayton, on the west by land of Nathaniel Huntting, and on the east "a way into the [Eastern] Plains." Parcel was formerly owned by William Schellinger; witnessed by Matthew Mulford and William Burrows.
