Caption on reverse reads: Copied from a publication by the "Home Owners Service Institute N.Y." 1925. "Symbolizing the spirit of home ownership and better built homes, on June 4, 1925, Warren G. Harding officially opened at Washington D.C., a modern adaptation of John Howard Payne's birthplace, "Home Sweet Home" which still exists on an estate on Long Island. Constructed of concrete block and white Portland cement stucco, on Sherman Monument Plaza, opposite the White House grounds and Treasury Building, on Pennsylvania Ave., it served as a demonstration "model" house for 1923 "Better Homes Week," June 4 to 10."
