Letter from Jackson relates general feeling that General Washington is planning to attack New York in Fall (of 1780), how Washington's visit to the camp greatly lifted spirits, and how Jackson longs to join at Middletown, Ct. (where fled to from Shelter Island, N.Y.), etc.
