Description

Caption on reverse reads: This old salt box house, known as "Rowdy Hall," originally stood on Main Street, at the easterly side of the Presbyterian Church. From there it was moved to Gay Lane, as shown here and stood for many years on the same site as the present Post Office. It was later moved again, and now stands on the westerly corner of David and Egypt Lane. The large building at the left is the blacksmith and carriage making shop of James E. Gay. This was completely destroyed by fire in the late 1930's. Copy by C. Frank Dayton.
