This volume picks up from journal of same ship (SEE: Whaling log of the ship Levant, 1851-1855), which delivered Chinese passengers to Hong Kong. Journal kept by mate E.D. Grousilliers. Inserted handwritten abstractions of parts of voyage. Name plate attached to cover: M.C. Kendrick Southampton, # 6, 10 (Kendrick was donor). Ship Levant, Mercator Cooper (1803-1872) was master from Hong Kong toward Port Philip 1855.
