Account book of Robert Townsend & Co., merchants, of Oyster Bay Township, N.Y., and New York, N.Y., reconciling accounts from 1781-1785. Appears to be a reconciliation of accounts found in the day-to-day journals, also in the LIC collection; upon testing, however, some items not matching with those supposed to be in the journals. Robert Townsend was an American Revolutionary War rebel spy, of Oyster Bay, L.I
