Incomplete account kept aboard the ship Edward, on a voyage from Hallet's Wharf, New York, N.Y. "toward" London & Lisbon; these pages contain entries from 23 December 1785 - 30 December 1785, 12 July 1786 - 15 July 1786. Not determined if this is from a whaling voyage; neither Starbuck nor Lund list the Edward. The donor information is unclear, but offers one piece of potential evidence in support of it being from a whaler: the date of acquisition is June 1943, same month and year 10 whaling logs were donated to the LIC by Sag Harbor whaling family descendant M.C.
