Description

Caption on reverse reads: This building, originally used as a bicycle shop, stood on the easterly corner of Main Street and The Circle-opposite the Bank of New York. It was later moved to the west side of Main Street on the site in front of the present Barn Book Shop. With the coming of autos, it was also used as a garage, said to be the first one in East Hampton. It was eventually enlarged and converted into the first "Edwards Theater." Copy by C. Frank Dayton.
