Letter from (Count) Benjamin (Thompson) Rumford to Cadell and Davis, Booksellers at Strand, London, concerning editors of Monthly Review, Munich, Germany, June 10, 1805. Letter requesting assistance in persuading the editors of the Monthly Review, which had just criticized Rumford's experiments with heat (See: "Letter from (Count) Benjamin (Thompson) Rumford to the editors of the Monthly Review"), to publish his rebuke; if they refuse, Rumford wants same request put to William Nicholson, publisher of the Journal of Natural Philosophy, the editors of the Philosophical Magazine; if these all fail to comply, the "most esteemed of the London news papers" are to be pursued.
